May 25, 2011, Moscow– According to IFRS the net profit of the Aeroflot Group for the 12 months 2010 increased to USD 253.2 million, that is 195 per cent higher compared to the last year.
During 12 month of 2010 Aeroflot Group generated revenue totaling USD 4,319.3 million, equivalent to a year-to-year increase of 29 per cent. The traffic revenue rose by 31.3 per cent to USD 3,700 million. Sales growth was caused by significant increase of the operations in 2010.
Operating expenses grew by 24.5 per cent and totaled USD 3,819.9 million. Costs rose due to significantly increase of operations. In 2010 operating profit of the Group was USD 499.4 million which is 80 per cent higher compared to 2009.
EBITDA rose by 58 per cent, reaching USD 727 million. EBITDA margin grew to 17 per cent versus 14 per cent in 2009.
According to the CEO of Aeroflot Vitaly Saveliev, ‘superior financial results in 2010 justify that all management’s intentions focused on improving of operating efficiency of the Group for 2010 have been achieved.’
