July 26, 2011, Moscow. – JSC “Aeroflot - Russian Airlines” summed up traffic and capacity statistics for June and 6 months of 2011.
In June 2011passenger turnover of the company went up by 18.7% against the same period in 2010 and totaled 3,763.5 mln passenger-kilometers. The highest growth (+24.0%) is detected at international flights with the passenger turnover made 2,549.9 mln passenger-kilometers. The domestic traffic turnover reached 1,213.6 mln passenger-kilometers which is 8.9% more if compared to June 2010.
Passenger load factor totaled 77.7%.
Total passenger traffic improved by 22.3% coming to 1,285.1 ths passengers. The international traffic rose by 23.5% (+151.8 ths passengers) hitting 796.7 ths passengers. The number of passengers served on domestic lines was 488.4 ths which is 20.4% more (+82.8 ths passengers) against June 2010.
Cargo-mail tonnage totaled 12,237.6 tonne in June 2011.
The results for 6 months of 2011 show that Aeroflot passenger turnover was 18,852.5 mln passenger-kilometers, a 20.6% (+3,222.6 mln pkm)growth compared with the results for the same period of 2010. The number of carried passengers increased by 22.3% (+1,138.2 ths passengers)to become 6,239.9 ths passengers. The seat load factor also increased to 75.5%, a 0.5 percentage points growth compared to the same period of the previous year.
