August 22, 2011, Moscow. – JSC “Aeroflot - Russian Airlines” summed up traffic and capacity statistics for July and 7 months of 2011.
In July 2011passenger turnover of the company went up by 18.7% against the same period in 2010 and totaled 4,358.4 mln passenger-kilometers. The highest growth (+20.6%) is detected at international flights with the passenger turnover made 2,932.2 mln passenger-kilometers. The domestic traffic turnover reached 1,426.2 mln passenger-kilometers which is 14.9% more if compared to July 2010.
Seat load factor totaled 83.9%.
Total passenger traffic improved by 24.1% coming to 1,469.1 ths passengers, which is the highest monthly passenger traffic for Russian civil aviation. The international traffic rose by 22.0% (+165.0 ths passengers) hitting 915.0 ths passengers. The number of passengers served on domestic lines was 554.1 ths which is 27.7% more (+120.3 ths passengers) against July 2010.
Aeroflot’s cargo-mail tonnage totaled 13,443.9 tonne in July 2011.
The results for 7 months of 2011 show that Aeroflot passenger turnover was 23,210.8 mln passenger-kilometers, a 20.2% (+3,908.2 mln pkm) growth compared with the results for the same period of 2010. The number of carried passengers increased by 22.6% (+1,423.5 ths passengers) to become 7,709.0 ths passengers. The seat load factor also increased to 76.9%, a 0.3 percentage points growth compared to the same period of the previous year.
