November 2, 2011, Moscow.– JSC “Aeroflot – Russian Airlines” summed up traffic and capacity statistics for September and 9 months of 2011.
In September 2011passenger turnover of the company went up by 19.7% against the same period in 2010 and totaled 3,974.8 mln passenger-kilometers. The dynamic of Aeroflot’s RPK in September 2011 outrun growth rate (+16.6%) of Russian civil aviation. The highest growth (+21.5%) is detected at domestic flights with the revenue passenger traffic made 1,326.9 mln passenger-kilometers. The international passenger turnover reached 2,647.9 mln passenger-kilometers which is 18.9% more if compared to September 2010.
Seat load factor came up by 0.6 p.p. and amounted to 81.3%.
Total passenger traffic improved by 27.2% coming to 1,363.3 ths passengers and outrun growth rate (+15.8%) of Russian civil aviation. The international passenger traffic rose by 22.3% (+152.1 ths passengers) hitting 834.4 ths passengers. The number of passengers served on domestic lines was 528.9 ths which is 35.8% more (+139.3 ths passengers) against September 2010.
The results for 9 months of 2011 show that passenger turnover of Aeroflot was 31,551.8 mln passenger-kilometers, that is 20.2% (+5,300.4 mln pkm) growth compared with the results for the same period of 2010. The number of carried passengers increased by 23.5% (+2,007.8 ths passengers) to become 10,540.6 ths passengers. The seat load factor also increased to 78.4%, a 0.4 percentage points growth compared to the same period of the previous year.
Aeroflot’s operating results for 9 months 2011 outrun Russian civil aviation passenger turnover and passenger traffic growth rates which totaled 13.3% and 12.8% respectively.
