Aeroflot is one of the Top 10 world transport and tourist companies according to the Boston Consulting Group

November 17, 2011, Moscow. – JSC “Aeroflot – Russian Airlines” is one of the leading client companies paying dividends despite current instability of the world economy. According to the rating of the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) – the world leader in operating consulting and business strategy developing, Aeroflot took seventh place among top ten transport and tourist companies.

Pursuant to the research total shareholder return, volume of sales, margin performed certain growth in recent years. Market capitalization of JSC “Aeroflot” as of the end of 2010 was estimated in sum of $2.9 bln.

The authors of the research point out that it includes information mainly about consumers companies, “success of which can provide useful lessons for management improvement”. It’s the first appearance of JSC “Aeroflot” in the rating of BCG. Aeroflot is the only Russian company presented in the section “Transport and tourism”.

There are only two Russian companies in the global rating of BCG.
