Aeroflot traffic and capacity statistics for October and 10 Month of 2011

November 29, 2011, Moscow.– JSC “Aeroflot – Russian Airlines” summed up traffic and capacity statistics for October and 10 months of 2011. 

In October 2011passenger turnover of the company went up by 18.1% against the same period in 2010 and totaled 3,669.6 mln passenger-kilometers. At domestic flights revenue passenger traffic increased by 26.8% against October 2010 and made 1,260.5 mln passenger-kilometers. The international passenger turnover reached 2,409.1 mln passenger-kilometers which is 13.9% more compared to the same period of 2010.

Seat load factor totaled 78.8%.

Total passenger traffic increased by 27.3% coming to 1,254.2 ths passengers. The international passenger traffic rose by 16.4% (+104.4 ths passengers) hitting 742.1 ths passengers. The number of passengers served on domestic lines was 512.1 ths which is 47.4% more (+164.7 ths passengers) against October 2010. The significant growth of domestic passenger traffic caused by increasing number of own flights.

Aeroflot cargo-mail tonnage totaled 16,154.3 tonne that is in line with October 2011.

The results for 10 months of 2011 show that passenger turnover of Aeroflot was 35,221.4 mln passenger-kilometers, that is 20.0% (+5,861.9 mln pkm) growth compared with the results for the same period of 2010. The number of carried passengers increased by 23.9% (+2,227.0 ths passengers) to become 11,794.9 ths passengers. The seat load factor also increased to 78.5%, a 0.3 percentage points growth compared to the same period of the previous year.
