December 30, 2011, Moscow.– JSC “Aeroflot – Russian Airlines” is going to serve more than 14 mln passengers in 2011 which is the record number for the Company.All in all, Aeroflot Groupwillserve more than 20 million people in 2011.
On December 29, Aeroflot had already surpassed the 14 millionthpassenger mark. That is the excess of the previous year record result equaled 11.3 mln passengers.
Since April2011, Aeroflot has been regularly carryingmore than one million passengers per month.This outstanding result was achieved due to improvement of route network management process, efficient use of fleet and keeping high level of passenger service on board.
High indicators of Aeroflot have been awarded by variety of industry and prestigious international prizes in 2011. Aeroflot is in TOP-25 airlines with highest financial results and among TOP-3 most dynamic airlines of the world and the best airline of the Eastern Europe. In addition, Aeroflot was included in the list of TOP-10 transport and tourist companies according to Boston Consulting Group.
