Aeroflot traffic and capacity statistics for April and 4 Months of 2012

June 4, 2012, Moscow.– JSC “Aeroflot – Russian Airlines” summed up traffic and capacity statistics for April and 4 months of 2012.

In April 2012passenger turnover of the company went up by 21.1% against the same period in 2011 and totaled 3,772.1 mln passenger-kilometers. The international passenger turnover reached 2,620.7 mln passenger-kilometers which is 20.8% more compared to the same period of 2011. At domestic flights revenue passenger traffic increased by 21.7% against April 2011 and made 1,151.4 mln passenger-kilometers.

Seat load factor and revenue load factor in April 2012 totaled 77.3% and 64.7%, respectively.

Total passenger traffic increased by 29.2% coming to 1,344.0 ths passengers. The international passenger traffic rose by 22.7% (+146.8 ths passengers) hitting 793.8 ths passengers. The number of passengers served on domestic lines was 550.2 ths which is 40.0% more (+157.1 ths passengers) against April 2011. The significant growth of domestic passenger traffic caused by increasing number of own flights.

Aeroflot cargo-mail tonnage totaled 17,485.0 tonne which is 36.4% more compared to April 2011.

The results for 4 months of 2012 show that passenger turnover of Aeroflot was 14,389.1 mln passenger-kilometers, that is 22.2% (+2,617.7 mln pkm) growth compared with the results for 4 months of 2011. The number of carried passengers increased by 29.3% (+1,120.0 ths passengers) to become 4,943.5 ths passengers. The seat load factor totaled 74.6%.
