July 26, 2012, Moscow - JSC “Aeroflot – Russian Airlines” summed up traffic and capacity statistics for June and 6 months of 2012.
In June 2012 passenger turnover of the company went up by 18.7% against the same period in 2011 and totaled 4,467.7 mln passenger-kilometers. The international passenger turnover reached 3,060.1 mln passenger-kilometers which is 20.0% more compared to the same period of 2011. The domestic passenger turnover increased by 16.0% against June 2011 and amounted to 1,407.6 mln passenger-kilometers.
Seat load factor and revenue load factor in June 2012 totaled 78.4% and 63.0%, respectively.
Total passenger traffic increased by 24.9% and reached an all-time monthly record amounting to 1,605.3 ths passengers. The international passenger traffic rose by 23.6% (+188.0 ths passengers) hitting 984.7 ths passengers. The number of passengers served on domestic lines was 620.6 ths which is 27.1% more (+132.2 ths passengers) against June 2011.
Aeroflot cargo-mail tonnage totaled 15,179.6 tonne which is 24.0% more compared to June 2011.
The results for first 6 months of 2012 show that passenger turnover of Aeroflot was 22,619.0 mln passenger-kilometers, which represents 20.0% (+3,766.5 mln pkm) increase compared with the results for 6 months of 2011. The number of carried passengers increased by 27.2% (+1,698.5 ths passengers) to become 7,938.4 ths passengers. The seat load factor totaled 74.8%.
