March 22, 2012, Moscow.– JSC “Aeroflot – Russian Airlines” summed up traffic and capacity statistics for February and 2 months of 2012.
In February 2012passenger turnover of the company went up by 26.3% against the same period in 2011 and totaled 3,414.0 mln passenger-kilometers. The international passenger turnover reached 2,305.4 mln passenger-kilometers which is 20.1% more compared to the same period of 2011. At domestic flights revenue passenger traffic increased by 41.7% against February 2011 and made 1,108.6 mln passenger-kilometers.
Seat load factor and revenue load factor in February 2012 totaled 73.6% and 60.8%, respectively.
Total passenger traffic increased by 31.7% coming to 1,146.7 ths passengers. The international passenger traffic rose by 20.4% (+112.1 ths passengers) hitting 662.8 ths passengers. The number of passengers served on domestic lines was 483.9 ths which is 51.3% more (+164.0 ths passengers) against February 2011. The significant growth of domestic passenger traffic caused by increasing number of own flights.
Aeroflot cargo-mail tonnage totaled 13,641.7 tonne which is 34.9% more compared to February 2011.
The results for 2 months of 2012 show that passenger turnover of Aeroflot was 6,901.9 mln passenger-kilometers, that is 23.3% (+1,304.7 mln pkm) growth compared with the results for 2 months of 2011. The number of carried passengers increased by 30.0% (+535.3 ths passengers) to become 2,318.6 ths passengers. The seat load factor totaled 72.9%.
