Aeroflot Traffic and Capacity Statistics for December and 12 Months of 2011

February 7, 2012, Moscow.– JSC “Aeroflot – Russian Airlines” summed up traffic and capacity statistics for December and 12 months of 2011.

 

 

 

In December 2011passenger turnover of the company went up by 28.8% against the same period in 2010 and totaled 3,458.4 mln passenger-kilometers. The international passenger turnover reached 2,289.5 mln passenger-kilometers which is 21.4% more compared to the same period of 2010. At domestic flights revenue passenger traffic increased by 46.3% against December 2010 and made 1,168.9 mln passenger-kilometers.

 

 

 

Seat load factor totaled 72.6% in December 2011, that is 0.6 p.p. more in comparison with the result of the same period of the previous year.

 

 

 

Total passenger traffic increased by 38.7% coming to 1,198.3 ths passengers. The international passenger traffic rose by 23.4% (+127.5 ths passengers) hitting 671.9 ths passengers. The number of passengers served on domestic lines was 526.4 ths which is 64.7% more (+206.7 ths passengers) against December 2010. The significant growth of domestic passenger traffic caused by increasing number of own flights.

 

 

 

Aeroflot cargo-mail tonnage totaled 16,094.7 tonne which is 20% more compared to December 2010.

 

 

 

The results for 12 months of 2011 show that passenger turnover of Aeroflot was 42,020.9 mln passenger-kilometers, that is 20.8% (+7,243.8 mln pkm) growth compared with the results of 2010. The number of carried passengers increased by 25.6% (+2,888.0 ths passengers) to become 14,173.8 ths passengers. The seat load factor also increased to 77.5%, a 0.3 percentage points growth compared to the previous year.
