August 31, 2012, Moscow. – JSC “Aeroflot – Russian Airlines” summed up traffic and capacity statistics for July and 7 months of 2012.
In July 2012passenger turnover of the company went up by 15.8% against the same period in 2011 and totaled 5,046 mln passenger-kilometers. The international passenger turnover reached 3,466 mln passenger-kilometers which is 18.2% more compared to the same period of 2011. The domestic passenger turnover increased by 10.8% against July 2011 and amounted to 1,580 mln passenger-kilometers.
Seat load factor and revenue load factor in July 2012 totaled 84.8% and 67.0%, respectively.
Total passenger traffic increased by 22.0% and reached an all-time monthly record amounting to 1,793 ths passengers. The international passenger traffic rose by 21.3% (+194.8 ths passengers) hitting 1,110 ths passengers. The number of passengers served on domestic lines was 683 ths which is 23.3% more (+128.9 ths passengers) against July 2011.
Aeroflot cargo-mail tonnage totaled 16,031 tonne which is 19.2% more compared to July 2011.
The results for first 7 months of 2012 show that passenger turnover of Aeroflot was 27,665 mln passenger-kilometers, which represents 19.2% (+4,454 mln pkm) increase compared with the results for 7 months of 2011. The number of carried passengers increased by 26.2% (+2,022 ths passengers) to become 9,731 ths passengers. The seat load factor totaled 76.5%.
