Aeroflot activity results for the july and seven months of 2008
August 14, 2008, Moscow. – JSC Aeroflot – Russian Airlines has summed up the results for the July and seven months of 2008.
In July 2008, the airline carried 919.5 thous. passengers (including 7.9 thous. passengers on its charter flights) and performed 2 bln 646 mln passenger-kilometres. Passenger load factor amounted to 77.9%, and commercial load reached the 62.8% mark in July.
Compared to activities in 2007, July saw growth of the following performance indicators: carriage of passengers increased by 8.6%, and passenger turnover increased by 4.6%. The amount of passenger carriage on international flights rose by 1.7%, while the amount of domestic flights increased by 21.5%.
Over the seven months of 2008, Aeroflot carried 5 mln. 305 thous. passengers and performed 15 bln 354 mln passenger-kilometres. Passenger load factor amounted to 69.9%, and commercial load reached the 55.5% mark.
As compared to the indicators in 2007, over the seven months there were the following increases in the indicators: passenger carriage volume rose by 14.8%, while passenger turnover rose by 10.1%.
