December 26, 2007. Moscow – In accordance with resolution of the JSC “Aeroflot”, the one and only shareholder of the JSC “Aeroflot-Cargo”, Mr. Oleg Konstantinovitch Korolev has been appointed as the General Director of the JSC “Aeroflot-Cargo” starting from December 25, 2007. The previous General Director Mr. Andrey Alekseevitch Goryashko has been voluntary dismissed from his position in the company.
Mr. Oleg Korolev was born in the city of Rybinsk of the Yaroslavl Oblast on June 4, 1963. Graduated the Leningrad Institute of Aviation Instrument Engineering as the Engineer-Mathematician. Before 1994 Mr. Korolev was working in the NIIOKB “Orbita” in the “Alak” aviation company. In 1994 Mr. Korolev has joined the JSC “Aeroflot”, where from 1006 through 2003 he was working as the assistant representative of the Company in Japan (Tokyo), and as the chief ofcommercial support of cargo operations in the central management of the Company. From 2003 through 2007 Mr. Korolev was working as the regional representative of the JSC “Aeroflot” in charge of cargo operations in Europe.
As of the results of the year 2007 the JSC “Aeroflot-Cargo” plans to deliver over 134 thousand tones of cargo and mail. Total revenues of the company are expected to come to $242 million. In 2008 in view of the planned putting into service by the JSC “Aeroflot-Cargo” of the new types of cargo airplanes - MD-11, Boeing-737 and Ilyushin 96-400, the volumes of cargo traffic are expected to double.
In 2007 the company has successfully implemented and accomplished a range of measures aimed at optimization of cargo traffic within the subsidiary company, contracting of the new airplanes, enhancement of efficiency of operations. Complicated and difficult stage of establishing and forming of the new company has been successfully passed, positions of the company on the market of the regular cargo traffic have been sufficiently strengthened.
JSC “Aeroflot – Cargo” has been established in 2005by virtue of the resolution of the Board of Directors of the JSC “Aeroflot” and thereafter registered in the Uniform Registry of Legal Entities of the Russian Federation on April 19, 2006. Based in Sheremetyevo international airport the JSC “Aeroflot-Cargo” perfumes regular cargo flights to Germany, Finland, Japan, South Korea and China. The company has the operator’s certificate No. 500 dated October 18, 2006. The company is 100% subsidiary of the JSC “Aeroflot”
