At The Board Of Directors Of “Aeroflot” OJSC

The Board Meeting of “Aeroflot” OJSC held on September 15, 2006 considered the results of the production and financial-economic activity of the airline company for the first six months of 2006.

The net profit for the first six months of 2006 (after tax and other obligatory payments) increased by USD 81 million in comparison with the similar period of the last year. The airline’s taxes on income and other tax payments amounted to USD 32 million. The return on sales of air transportations and services rendered during the first six months of 2006 exceeded the indexes of the previous year by 15.8%.

These results were achieved thanks to increase of passenger transportations by 4.1% in comparison with the last year’s level and outrunning growth of income exceeding the growth of expenditures. Their growth was provided by more active usage of the fleet, increase of the flights’ frequency on some international and domestic lines, as well as by the increase of the seat occupancy by 2%. At that, the increase of the operating and maintenance charges during this period was successfully held at the level of 7.1% at the fuel price increase by 22.8%.

The Company’s Board of Directors approved the transactions on purchase of twelve medium-haul passenger aircrafts А320-200 and six freight aircrafts MD-11 under lease (operational lease) by “Aeroflot” OJSC in 2007-2008. According to the previously concluded contracts Aeroflot will obtain 12 more aircrafts of the same type in 2006-2007.
