"Aeroflot - Russian Airlines" OJSC summarized the results of its work for August and eight months of 2006.
In August 2006 the airline transported 821.9 thousand passengers (including 7.8 thousand passengers of charter flights) and 12.5 thousand tons of mail and freights. The company performed 2 billion 486 million passenger-kilometers and 297.4 million tonne-kilometers. In August the occupation ratio of passenger seats amounted to 78.1%, the ratio of the revenue load was 61.8%.
The August target was exceeded by all the indexes, which allowed to improve the production performance and the financial results for 8 months of 2006 in comparison with the last year. The volume of passenger transportations on international lines increased by 5.9% (+30.1 thousand passengers), and by 13.3% on domestic lines (+33.3 thousand passengers).
For eight months of 2006 Aeroflot transported 4 million 791 thousand passengers and 91.5 thousand tons of mail and freights, performed 14 billion 675 million passenger-kilometers and 1 billion 883 million tonne-kilometers. The occupancy ratio of passenger seats amounted to 70.9%, the revenue load was 58.0%.
In comparison with the last year the volumes of works for eight months increased and amounted to: 105.3% (+241.6 thousand passengers) on transportation of passengers, 103.5% (+491.2 million passenger-kilometers) on passenger turnover, 102.8% (+52.0 million tonne-kilometers) on tonne-kilometers, 95.9% (-149.5 tons) on transportation of mail, 96.0% (-3668.4 tons) on transportation of freights.
The flying time increased by 2.3% on passenger aircrafts and by 0.9% on freight aircrafts in comparison with the level of 2005. The flying time increased by 2.2% (+3865 hours) on the fleet in general.
According to the data of the records management, the company's revenue from the passenger transportations increased by 19% in comparison with 2005 following the results of 8 months.
