AEROFLOT TRAFFIC AND CAPACITY STATISTICS

FOR APRIL AND 4 MONTHS OF 2013.

 

May 31, 2013, Moscow. – JSC “Aeroflot – Russian Airlines” summed up traffic and capacity statistics for April and 4 months of 2013.

In April 2013 passenger traffic increased by 18.5% against the same period in 2012 and totaled 1,592.4 ths passengers. International passenger traffic rose by 17.5% (+139.1 ths passengers) reaching 932.9 ths passengers. The number of passengers served on domestic lines was 659.5 ths which is 19.9% more (+109.3 ths passengers) compared to the result of April 2012.

Seat load factor in April 2013 rose by 0.3 p.p. compared to 2012 and reached 77.6%.

Revenue load factor amounted to 64.9% which is 0.2 p.p. higher than the result of April 2012.

Passenger turnover of the company went up by 21.9% against the same period in 2012 and reached 4,599.4 mln passenger-kilometers. International passenger turnover totaled 3,120.1 mln passenger-kilometers which is 19.1% more compared to the same period of 2012. The domestic passenger turnover increased by 28.5% against April 2012 and amounted to 1,479.3 mln passenger-kilometers.

The results for 4 months of 2013 show that the number of carried passengers increased by 19.7% (+972.4 ths passengers) to become 5,915.9 ths passengers. The seat load factor totaled 77.1%, exceeding the result of the corresponding period of 2012 by 2.5 p.p. Passenger turnover of Aeroflot was 17,619.8 mln passenger-kilometers, which represents 22.5% (+3,230.7 mln pkm) increase compared with the results for 4 months of 2012.
