MOSCOW, 4 FEBRUARY 2014 – Aeroflot (“the Company”, Moscow Exchange ticker: AFLT) announces record operating results in the modern history of the Company and Aeroflot Group (“the Group”) for the twelve months ending 31 December 2013. Key drivers of the strong operational highlights included: a marked expansion of the route network, fleet enlargement and passenger traffic growth.

Background information:
Celebrating its 90th anniversary in 2013, Aeroflot is Russia’s flagship airline and the largest national air company. A proud member of the SkyTeam global airline alliance, Aeroflot and its partner members serve more than 1,000 destinations in 178 countries. Aeroflot operates one of the most modern and youngest fleets in Europe, with 144 aircraft including Airbus, Boeing and Sukhoi airliners and an average airplane age of between five and six years. In June 2013, Aeroflot was named Best Airline in Eastern Europe by Skytrax for the second time.
In 2013 Aeroflot carried 20.9 million passengers (31.4 million passengers as Aeroflot Group), continuously showing the best results in modern Russia’s history. The Group had revenue of USD 8,138 million in 2012 and EBITDA of USD 671 million. Net profit totalled USD 166 million.
