Moscow, 29 March 2018 – Pobeda, the low-cost carrier of Aeroflot Group, has optimised its ground service procedures to reduce aircraft turnaround time to 20 minutes at Naberezhnye Chelny airport and to 25 minutes at many airports across its route network, including its home airport of Vnukovo in Moscow. Aircraft turnaround includes all ground procedures from an aircraft’s arrival to its departure.
Pobeda has reduced turnaround time to 20 or 25 minutes by undertaking essential procedures in parallel rather than one after the other, with no effect on quality but a significant saving on time. At most airports, boarding is also speeded up by using both the front and rear doors of the aircraft and preliminarily dividing passengers into two corresponding groups based on seat-row numbers while in the terminal.
