Moscow, 22 August 2019 – Aeroflot PJSC (Moscow Exchange ticker: AFLT) today announces operating results for Aeroflot Group (“the Group”) and Aeroflot – Russian Airlines (“the Company”) for July and 7M 2019[1].
In 7M 2019, Aeroflot Group carried 34.6 million passengers, up 12.2% year-on-year. Aeroflot airline carried 21.5 million passengers, a year-on-year increase of 8.3%.
Group and Company RPKs increased by 12.8% and 7.5% year-on-year, respectively. ASKs rose by 13.9% year-on-year for the Group and by 8.8% year-on-year for the Company.
The passenger load factor decreased by 0.8 p.p. year-on-year to 81.1% for Aeroflot Group and decreased by 0.9 p.p. to 78.8% for Aeroflot airline.
In July 2019, Aeroflot Group carried 6.4 million passengers, a year-on-year increase of 7.3%. Aeroflot airline carried 3.7 million passengers, a year-on-year increase of 1.9%.
Group and Company RPKs were up 7.7% and 2.4% year-on-year, respectively. ASKs rose by 9.2% for Aeroflot Group and by 4.4% for Aeroflot airline.
Aeroflot Group’s passenger load factor was 90.0%, representing a 1.2 percentage point decrease versus the same period a year earlier. The passenger load factor at Aeroflot – Russian Airlines decreased by 1.7 percentage points year-on-year to 87.6%.
In July 2019 Aeroflot Group phased out one Airbus A321 aircraft. As of 31 July 2019, the Group fleet had 364 aircraft.
Aeroflot airline phased out one Airbus A321 aircraft. As of 31 July 2019, the Company fleet had 249 aircraft.
