Aeroflot Adjusts Flight Schedules and Capacity

Moscow, 12 March 2020 – In light of the spread of the COVID-19 virus in recent weeks Aeroflot Group has been exposed to certain pressure on demand, which prompted us to make temporary amendments to schedule and capacity allocation between the regions.

Below you will find a summary of changes enacted in recent weeks. Relevant press-releases are also available at our main website.

China

Between March 1 and 28 Aeroflot is suspending 7 out of 14 weekly frequencies between Moscow and Beijing.

Between March 1 and 28 Aeroflot is suspending 7 out of 14 weekly frequencies between Moscow and Shanghai.

Between March 1 and 28 Aeroflot is suspending 3 out of 7 weekly frequencies between Moscow and Guangzhou.

Starting from March 8 Aeroflot is temporarily suspending the service between Moscow and Hong Kong.

 


South Korea

Between March 10 and 26 Aeroflot is suspending 3 out of 7 weekly frequencies between Moscow and Seoul.

Vietnam

Between March 11 and 27 Aeroflot is suspending 4 out of 7 weekly frequencies between Moscow and Hanoi.


Iran

Starting from March 8 Aeroflot is suspending 4 out of 5 weekly frequencies between Moscow and Tehran.

Spain

From 13 March to 30 April, Aeroflot will temporarily suspend flights between Moscow and Alicante (previously up to 5 weekly frequencies), Valencia (up to 5 weekly frequencies), Malaga (up to 10 weekly frequencies), Tenerife (up to 7 weekly frequencies) and Palma (up to 4 weekly frequencies).

France

From 13 March to 30 April, Aeroflot will temporarily suspend flights between Moscow and Marseille (previously up to 5 weekly frequencies), Lyon (up to 14 weekly frequencies), Nice (up to 9 weekly frequencies).

From 13 March to 30 April, Rossiya will temporarily suspend flights under commercial management of Aeroflot between St.-Petersburg and Nice (previously up to 2 weekly frequencies).

Germany

From 13 March to 30 April, Aeroflot will temporarily suspend flights between Moscow and Dresden (previously up to 7 weekly frequencies), Dusseldorf (up to 28 weekly frequencies), Hamburg (up to 14 weekly frequencies), Hannover (up to 7 weekly frequencies), Stuttgart (up to 14 weekly frequencies).

From 13 March to 30 April, Rossiya will temporarily suspend flights under commercial management of Aeroflot between St.-Petersburg and Dusseldorf (up to 7 weekly frequencies), Hamburg (up to 4 weekly frequencies).


Italy

From 13 March to 30 April, Aeroflot will temporarily suspend flights between Moscow and Milan (previously up to 35 weekly frequencies), Venice (up to 14 weekly frequencies), Naples (up to 4 weekly frequencies), Verona (up to 7 weekly frequencies), Bologna (up to 14 weekly frequencies).

Between March 10 and 28 Aeroflot is suspending 7 out of 35 weekly frequencies between Moscow and Rome.

Pobeda Airline, the Group’s low cost carrier, is temporarily suspending flights to the following countries:

  • Italy (five cities, flights suspended from 11 March to 31 March),
  • Israel (one city, flights suspended from 12 March to 12 May),
  • Germany (five cities, flights suspended from 13 March),
  • Spain (one citiy, flights suspended from 13 March).

These measures are intended to reduce the financial consequences of the pressure on demand and are carried out alongside with other planned savings measures in other areas of Group’s operations.
