Aeroflot’s compliance with ESG standards was rated above average (category II) in the first ESG Index of the Russian companies, presented by RBC Media Holding and Rating Agency National Credit Ratings (NCR).
Real economy companies, financial institutions and insurance companies (115 companies) were included in the ESG Index. NCR rated companies using the following ESG criteria: environmental impact, efforts to minimise environmental damage and efficient use of natural resources, company's social responsibility (employees and society), decision-making process and disclosure system in general and in relation to environmental and social risks in particular.
The result indicates the effectiveness of Aeroflot Group's sustainability management. In 2022, Aeroflot issued its first ESG Report, and approved the Sustainable Development Policy and the Climate Policy.
Aeroflot continuously works on sustainable development, contributes to the development of the country's economy, and ensures air connectivity of Russian regions and population mobility.
