October 5, 2010, Moscow. - Net profit of Aeroflot Group (IFRS) in H1’10 amounted to 17.5 million dollars, which is 24% above the result of the same period of 2009.
Growth rates of the Group's revenue outpaced growth in operating expenses. H1’10 saw the group’s revenue rise by 27% (to USD1.854bln) with operating expenses going up by 25% (USD1.689bln).
The EBITDA rate improved by 55% against the same period of 2009. The EBITDA margin increased to 15% compared to 12% in H1’09.
According to Deputy General Director for Finance and Investment Shamil Kurmashov, “The positive financial results of the Group prove the management activities conducted to improve performance and recover demand for air travel”.
